The
ESIC Dental College & Hospital at Rohini, Delhi was established in the year
2010, marking ESI Corporation’s first foray into dental education. Under the
genesis of the Ministry of Labour& Employment, the ESIC Dental College is
only the 3rd Government Dental College in Delhi-NCR region.
The
Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course offered at this institute is in strict
adherence to guidelines set by the Dental Council of India and is affiliated to
the prestigious Guru Gobind Singh IndraPrastha (GGSIP) University. The college
is presently in IV year BDS and has an annual intake of 50 students who gain
admission through highly competitive entrance examinations. We take immense
pride in the fact that merit holders and toppers prefer to join the ESIC Dental
College & Hospital over other institutes.
In
accordance with the norms of DCI, the ESIC Dental College has a sound
infrastructure. The sprawling campus spreads over an area of 10 acres and also
houses the 300 bedded ESI Hospital, Rohini apart from the residential quarters
and separate boys and girls hostels. The college boasts of state of the art
equipment and is the only institute in the country to possess bacteria free,
oil free and moisture free dental compressor system. The patient simulation
systems and phantom heads used for pre-clinical training are unique in that
they possess an inbuilt camera and monitor system to better acquaint the
student to the diverse clinical situations the student might encounter when
treating patients.
