Kalinga
Institute of Dental Sciences (KIDS) is a constituent of KIIT University and
approved by Dental Council of India (DCI). It prepares dental surgeons to work
closely with patients. The graduates will have a high standard of professional
responsibility, delivering oral health care to the community. The Institute has
11 departments, conforming to the DCI guidelines, and 120 ultra-modern
electronically operated dental chairs. It has excellent endodontic and oral
surgery OT with RVG, OPG and standby individual X-ray units. The course is
delivered by nationally respected clinicians and researchers.
Each
department at Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences has a dedicated team of
faculty members who train students by organizing academic lectures, projects,
workshops and hands on training. It has separate Girls and Boys Hostels with
standard quality of food and lodging facilities. Students can also stay on
their own nearby residential areas. Standard cost of living here goes around
Rs. 7000 (Rent-Rs. 3000+ Food Rs. 2500+ Transportation Rs. 1500) per month.
Also, students who wish to go out and refresh themselves of their hectic
schedules can do that easily as the city contains many popular places and
nearest food joints.
