Institute of Dental Sciences, Jammu is a venture of the “Trikuta Charitable Trust”. The trust was formed with the objective of imparting the best Professional Education to students of Science. The Trust believes that path to the socio-economic and ethical transformation of the country is through quality education.

The trustees comprise of a cohesive group of experienced persons with impeccable integrity who have committed themselves to the task of making the Education Project setup by the trust of the ‘Centre of Excellence’. The Trust is chaired by Dr. R.K Suri, a renowned Medical Professional in Jammu. With an aim of providing unparalleled education in the field of Dental Sciences, as its first milestone, the Trustees assiduously went about the task of setting up the first Private Dental College in the State of Jammu & Kashmir.

It is approved Dental Council of India and is affiliated to University of Jammu. The college has all the specialized dental pre-clinical and clinical departments to train graduates. Indira Gandhi Government Dental College is committed to improving health through excellence in dental education, educating members of the health professions, engaging in basic and applied research, encouraging technology transfer, and developing public and community health programs.
