The
14th day of April 1990 will remain as a land mark in the history of dentistry
in the state of Bihar in particular, and nation as a whole for, it was on this
very auspicious day of birth centenary year of Bharat Ratna Late Baba - Sahib
Ambedkar. The Institute took its inception as a mark of memory and tribute to
the great soul, who dedicated his life for the welfare & uplifting of poor
and down trodden of the society. The institute being the first of its kind in
the north-east region of the country, imparting vocational training in field of
Dentistry under the banner of Late Baba – Sahib Bhim Rao Ambedkar, the great
humanist, the pioneer of Indian freedom and the architect of modern India.

to provide efficient dental health services to the ailing masses and impart

a registered society and is affiliated to Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, Bihar.
The degree “Bachelor of Dental Surgery” conferred to the students of this
institute is recognized by Dental Council of India.
Post-graduate
course in all the nine subjects had been permitted by Dental Council of India.
Two years certificate courses in Dental Mechanic, Dental Hygienist and Dental
Operating Room Assistant (DORA) have also been permitted by Dental Council of
India.
